Four Queen Mary University of London scientists make Highly Cited Researchers 2014 List

Professor Mark Caulfield, Professor Jack Cuzick, Professor Trish Greenhalgh, and Professor Panos Deloukas have all been selected by Thomson Reuters for inclusion in their prestigious list of Highly Cited Researchers 2014.

The list identifies the world’s most influential contemporary researchers across 21 scientific fields. The new list, which includes 3200 researchers, is more selective than the previous list, which included more than 7000 researchers.

The Highly Cited Researchers are divided into different areas, with Professor Cuzick listed in the ‘clinical medicine’ field, Professor Caulfield and Professor Deloukas in ‘Molecular Biology & Genetics’ and Professor Greenhalgh in ‘Social Sciences’.

The ranking is based on highly cited papers in the 2002-2012 period. Highly cited papers are defined as those ranking in the top 1% for citations in their subject field and year of publication, earning them the mark of exceptional impact.
