Strategies to reduce social gradient in Bowel Cancer Screening

Centre of Cancer Prevention

Project Investigator: Stephen Duffy

ASCEND is a series of cluster randomised trials of use of different information resources, GP endorsement, and enhanced reminder services to promote participation in bowel cancer screening.

The interventions are designed with particular emphasis on effects on low socioeconomic status populations, with the aim of bringing participation in these populations closer to the rates prevailing in more affluent groups.
