LUSH

Centre for Cancer Prevention

Project Investigator:  Dr Karly Louie

Overview

There are no existing data on the population-level burden of oral human papillomavirus (HPV) infection in England and this may potentially have important implications for cancer prevention through HPV vaccination.

The objective of LUSH (London University Study on oral HPV) is to measure the population prevalence of oral HPV infection in young women and men and to evaluate HPV vaccine efficacy against oral HPV infection among women.

Results from this research will provide population-level burden of oral HPV and determine the early impact of HPV vaccination against oral HPV infection among young women.

More information about the study can be found in our flyer.
