Evaluating the evidence for prostate cancer screening

Overview

To update the emerging evidence for early detection and treatment of prostate cancer for the UK National Screening Committee (UKNSC) in order to inform on policy recommendations for a prostate cancer screening programme.

Other activities include:

Updating the evidence in the Prostate Cancer Risk Management Programme (PCRMP) info pack materials for General Practitioners (GPs) and patients to assist in the counselling of men who enquire about prostate screening.

Conducting a meta-analysis to evaluate the prognostic value of prostate cancer risk models.
