Dr Simone Ulrich

Dr. Ullrich trained in psychology at the University of Mannheim, Germany. She started her academic career as a Research Assistant at the Central Institute of Mental Health (Director: Heinz Häfner) in the SCAN (Schedules for Clinical Assessment in Neuropsychiatry) WHO collaborating centre.

She was then appointed Lecturer at the Psychiatric University Hospital in Halle-Wittenberg where her research interests shifted towards Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology. She completed her PhD in 1999 on personality disorders and criminal behaviour.

In 2004 she was appointed Senior Lecturer in Forensic Mental Health at the Violence Prevention Research Unit (formerly: Forensic Psychiatry Research Unit).
