Dr. King Wai Lau completed his PhD in 2003 where he worked on Machine Learning.
 
In 2003 he worked in Proteomics in University of Manchester where he developed and applied machine learning algorithms to analysis proteomics mass spectrometry data.
 
In 2009 he moved to The Sanger Institute where he worked on various probabilistic modelling methods, such as HMM, FMM and MCMC algorithm. He also worked on statistics and whole genome next generation sequencing data.
 
In 2012 he moved to The Institute of Cancer Research where he worked on whole exome bioinformatics pipeline in the area in breast cancer genetics epidemiology.
 
In 2013 he moved to The University of Oxford where he worked on population genetics in cardiovascular disease and pharmacogenetics in statin induced myopathy.
