Profile

I obtained my PhD in the field of genome stability, cancer development and treatment from the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute and University College London in 2004.

After two postdoctoral research fellowships in the same field at the Genome Damage and Stability Centre at the University of Sussex, I joined the Centre for Cancer Prevention (CCP) in 2010, first as a clinical trial coordinator and then epidemiologist.  I led on a number of research projects on breast cancer screening and prevention, including the annual breast interval cancer audit and three clinical trials for the NHS Breast Screening Services.

I then left the CCP to work at Breast Cancer Care on a project on inequalities in breast cancer survivorship from 2013 to 2014.

I re-joined the CCP in 2014 since when I mainly have been working on a number of projects on Barrett’s oesophagus, oesophageal cancer and the Barrett's oEsophagus Screening Trials.

I am also currently studying for a Masters degree in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
