Eva Brown Hajdukova
Dr Eva Brown Hajdukova is a project manager/researcher at the Centre for Psychiatry for a Lankelly Chase funded project exploring ethnic inequalities in mental health and related domains.
 
Eva is a former social worker, basic nurse, and health educator as well as a special educational needs teacher. Prior to her PhD she taught and worked in variety of educational, social and health services settings in Slovakia, Norway, the United States, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
 
She holds a PhD from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and for her thesis she engaged directly with students with social, emotional and behavioural disorders to examine what these students perceive they need in order to have a more successful and positive educational experience.
After gaining her PhD she worked a research associate at the University of Cambridge, primarily focusing on young peoples’ wellbeing and school engagement in secondary schools in Kazakhstan. This included the development of a culturally appropriate wellbeing measure and methodological review aimed at how wellbeing research can be made culturally sensitive.
