Bernard North

Following a PhD in survival analysis in 1996 I worked on a diabetes clinical trial at Oxford University.

In 2000 I started as a postdoc at Queen Mary, University of London working on methodology in statistical genetics with Professor David Curtis producing various software based on our methods and providing support for analysis of genetic data in diabetes and psychiatry.

In 2005 I worked for 9 months on breast cancer genetics at the ICR with involvement in several projects identifying the breast cancer genes ATM and BRIP1.

In 2006 I moved to Imperial College for 6 years as statistical consultant and then acting director of the Statistical Advisory Service collaborating with medical researching on the design and analysis of various studies particularly in clinical trials, prognostic models and genomics.
